"Character" is just a pillow, January 31, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: The Shrunks Toddler Travel Bed with Hand Stitched Ultra Plush Character (Baby Product) This travel bed is very useful for a visiting grandchild. However, I was thrown off by the description of the "ultra plush character" that we paid extra for. We thought that it would be an extra soft cover for the plastic bed, but it was just a pillow in the shape of some creature -- and a rather expensive pillow at that. Nevertheless, our granddaughter enjoys both the bed and the pillow, so it was worth it.

My daughter is 22 months old and has outgrown her pack and play, and as a family who travels a lot for work a new travel bed was a must. After doing a lot of looking and research, this looked like the best, as well as the most comfortable and the safest. i was afraid that5 despite the bed rails on it, she would fall off of it, as she is a wild thrasher in her sleep. A few pillows propped up by the bed made it a non issue. This bed is super fast to inflate and deflate, I would say about a minute for each with the electric pump that comes with it. This bed is super comfortable and strong as well, and holds the air in fantasticly. I have had it set up for over a week and only had to reinflate a little bit to have it keep its form. I was also afraid that having slept in a pack and play for so long the transition to a big girl bed would be hard for my girl, but not so! My 18m old sleeps on this easily. The bed is what is blue. It's maybe 12 inches high so no worries if she rolls off. But she hasn't yet. Cute little pillow but not worth paying extra for. You can also tuck crib sheets in all around the blue bed.
